Pool Waterfall in Del Mar

Hillside Transformation

Check out the transformation of this pool and hillside in Del Mar. Our client decided to beautify their landscape with a Pool Waterfall by San Diego Ponds. This photo shows the backyard before San Diego Ponds started construction.

Waterfall Preparation

The first day of construction.  San Diego Ponds removed a portion of the block wall and sidewalk to make room for the Natural Rock Waterfall.  San Diego Ponds then sculpted the hillside into steps that will setup a correct foundation for the waterfall.   Proper planning from the beginning based on years of experience allow for solid foundations for your water feature designs.

Rocks and Boulders

Day 2-3 of construction.  Plumbing is in place.  The rubber liner and underlayment are in place.  This creates a waterproof foundation before the rocks and boulders are placed.  Then each boulder is hand placed transforming this epty hillside into a waterfall.  The last step of the day is to cement everything in place.

Waterfall Complete

Final day of construction.  All accent rocks and plants are placed. San Diego Ponds then starts the pump that will circulate the water from the pool to the top of the waterfall.  The homeowner then watches the Pool Waterfall come to life for the first time.   WHAT A TRANSFORMATION!
